fennell-p
Ahh I'm a right spanner! I did think that, but I'd never heard it before this thread. It gets worse, 'PV' (pro. peevee) is now what people are trying to call 'sparky' ... (sorry, electrical tape) Could be worse, in our venue we have 'robbie' which doesn't sound like much when someone says 'just lay out the robbie over there'. This is the point that you realise 'robbie' stands for robbie wilson crowd barriers that are made from mild steel and break your fingers. joy. kerry davies
Ah now that's the old Post Office Telephones nomenclature; Tape, Insulting, One Inch, Black. Bit like; Bowls, G.I., For the use of. (Originally for melting lead then for relieving oneself in the back of the van.)
Matthew Robinson
This is the point that you realise 'robbie' stands for Robbie Wilson crowd barriers that are made from mild steel and break your fingers. joy. I will attest to that- the only reason Robbie didn't break my finger when I had my run in with it was because it fell into the crease of my knuckle...
