  1. building a 1000 bed hospital in 1 week? Never mind the 40 we were promised...
  2. The last figures I saw was a mortality rate from flu at 0.1%, Covid 2% - Covid is probably high due to the accounting of dead vs survived (you don't go in the second column until properly clear) Now, for "herd immunity" to work, 60% of the population have to be 'immune', either through vaccination (not available) or to have survived. Rough figures follow:-Population 60m 60% 36m2% 720,000 dead -----ETA - Politics Paul, and we'd have to moderate ourselves if I started on particular individuals and their (entirely expected) woeful performance.
  3. Watch the video of "The Orange Buffoon" and his recent Covid speech. They ALL grab the mic, or fondle the lectern WHILE pontificating...
  4. The OP says he wants to convert the OUTPUT from the Micro Pack. Are we SURE we are answering the right question?
  5. Patt 123 and 223 (well, 743 as I converted them) lanterns. Less so the barndoors prone to flapping in the wind.
  6. Printed in POLAND by a French company.
  7. Masochist. Of all the followspots I ever used...
  8. For odd stuff, Mouser are quite good. They now have a UK distribution depot, so it isn't a long wait for stuff to come from Dallas. Linky
  9. Two layers (or more) of this stuff laminated (glued) together once it is in the shape you want?
  10. On a 0-10VDC analogue control system?

    DMX Decoder

Again not quite what the OP seems to want, but XTBA are good for things DMX and weird.
  12. All of the above shall be marked China Export.
  13. of how easy it is to process the paperwork.
  14. Top tip - don't leave it on too long, the windows look fogged after, and it doesn't clean off! I did this at home, hoping the kids would sleep past sunrise in the summer. Nasty patches on the windows many years later.

    Radio mic hire

your reply is helpful in answering my question. :D We won't tell you off - a direct answer to a question, and no attempt to hide your purpose.
  16. I was living just down the road; my parents didn't take me (or go themselves, which would have been more galling).
  17. I can't even get teachers to accept that "Risk Assessment" is a verb, not a noun. They almost all want a piece of paper called an RA thinking that covers everything and them. No matter who wrote the RA, in what context, or type of pupil involved.
  18. Whilst I fully agree with all that is written above, please remember we have a "no politics" rule... Please don't stray further.
  19. Not used one for some years now. Used to deal with Carousels a lot, including two BKE 400W conversions (man, those were HEAVY). Used in classrooms, presentations and a couple of stage productions (6 was the most we had, with dissolves etc) Still have a Simda on a shelf here waiting to be fixed; I hope... ETA - Still use some Rank projectors in physics lessons for spectra and double slit demonstrations. Modified over time with larger lamps and fans.
  20. Other industries have managed it. House builders are MUCH better protected against injury, and building costs have risen. The "audience" continues to pay. The employer has do do what they can. If a builder (to continue the analogy) invests in telehandlers and hoists, and the employee goes power lifting and trashes his back, the employer has a defence.
  21. Or one of these universal jobs? Come with a selection of tips.
  22. Already been done - you need a Furse clone of a Patt 45. Sucked all the light out of an area.
  23. Not theatrical* but we would all benefit; A Teleport. Powered by a potato (see The long Earth for reference), simple to use, no chance a big corporation could buy it up, next best thing to free. No more traffic jams, no pollution, anyone could be anywhere in seconds - thus breaking down all the barriers so afflicting humanity. *Could also be used to get followspots up to impossibly remote balconies.
  24. It will work fine - unless it doesn't.
  25. How about an inflatable tube for the dragons neck/head*? Then wings that fly in to the side of it, but not attached. Never tried it myself... *the picture in my head is of the Nazgul's mounts from LOTR.
