  1. Thank you to all who posted suggestions and I have looked them up and also got some prices for some of them. Hope to find a few more as it will give me a good idea what prices I will be looking at for different designs.
  2. Hi Simon, Thank you for that, I have looked it up on my phone after you posted the reply. It looks like what I am after. I will hold out just in case someone else has another suggestion.
  3. I am sorry if this has been asked before, I am looking for a preset panel with at lest 8 presets and I can program. there is 3 sets (4 or 6 in each set/group) of led par cans and they all take 8 channels I would like to keep the the sets/groups as they are also used for shows in the same room. I would be like to be able to control the max of 64 channels I do know that Milford Instruments did one. Then they made a version 2 of it which also could be set to allow to run a chase as well. Can anyone recommend one or if any of you have the one Milford did as in the 2 version and willing to sell it, I would be willing to take it off your hands. Thank you
  4. I have the (6) LEDj Q colour as well. I have also had the same problem as the OP and I also have other LEDj lights and I have no problem with them. I also have cheep LEDj lights and mean cheap they where 30.00 pound each and I have no problem with them at all. Even my showtec led bars do not cause any problems. I have taken all the led lights I have as RGB or RGBW and have done tests with them and out of all the only one that I had problems with is the LEDj Q colour. here is a list of lights that I have or tried. Showtc lightbar 12 LEDj led zoomLEDj BurstStairville LED Flood panel 150LEDj Q Colour Showtec LED par can (par 64)Cameo CLP64Q8W Out of the above list the only one that causes any problem is LEDj Q Colour I have tried other Q Colours that I do not own and they also do the same. So it not been down to been cheap they are just a bad design. I have listed cheap led lights in my list and do not have any problems with them
  5. Can you post the make and model of the Dimmer packs as I can help us as well. Know you said it works fine with the analog desk. It could be something to do with the patch cable from the dimmer to the Showtec demux.

    LED tape

If you go down the pixel rout here is a person who has a wireless pixel driver take a look at his ebay shop https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/smartshow-uk/m.html?ssPageName=STRK%3Anull%3AMESOI&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2654 I would go 5v pixel tape and use a usb battery bank or 12v RGB tape and a 12v battery may it be a SLA or 12v cordless drill battery pack if it has to be battery powered. I have done both for different things for special effects on stage.
  8. I have found a crowd who do spares for hazer and they have a lot of Martin/Jem spares as well https://lichtboxx.co...jem+techno+haze The link above is for TechnoHaze as search here is a link to the sensor https://lichtboxx.com/jem-technohaze-fluidsensor-mit-kabel.html
  9. I have some ADJ Ikon Profile see link https://www.adj.com/ikon-profile I have used these for projecting gobos and also used them for lighting a stage and worked very well. they have a 30w led and can be controlled via memory or an app using an ir pluged in to the headphones socket here they are on Thomann https://www.thomann.de/gb/adj_ikon_profile.htm £166 there abouts
  10. Thank you for your reply and will endeed send you a reminder.
  11. I am hopping someone here will have some spare end panels for the beltpacks. I have loss 2 as I was doing an experment with 2 would like to replace them. On the other hand if anyone has 3 end panels spair and also a beltpack pcb or 2. I would be happy to take them off them.
  12. There is a person called Bobby Lynas on facebook that has made wifi DMX units and he sells them on ebay his website is http://smartshow.lighting/ the facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/groups/339250392813786/ and his ebay page is https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/smartshow-uk/m.html?ssPageName=STRK%3Anull%3AMESOI&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2654 I have bought some of his items and they are very small in size. I do not make anything from him
  13. I have come a cross some cheep led items from china that have 5 v on pin 1 and the connector itself is ground also as in sheld ground for the DMX. I would say this is done to power some of the cheep wireless DMX devices out there.
  14. I have one of these and would not use any thing else as it can also tell you even if one of the pairs has a broken wire ie if it is one of the green pair as in pins 3 and 6 it can tell which one of them 2 pins is missing and where the break is. It also can tell you how long the cable is and if yo plug it in to a network cable that pluged in to a switch it will tell you what speed of that port https://cpc.farnell.com/ideal-networks/vdv-ii-pro/network-cable-verifier/dp/IN06965 this can also do coax cable as well I have made adaptors to work with xlr mic leads as well
  15. I konw then one that in the machine I have as its own float built in the bank of 10 ulterasonic block also the machine has another float that will fill the compartment where the block is and if it does not it will not work at all. Its recommened in the manul to empty the distilled water out of the machine to make the machine easyer to transport and also makes it lighterto lift. there is 2 dran valves on the back of this machine. also where the power supply is and the distilled water is in the machine don't a chance of it getting wet I have found a site where I can buy the replacements piezolectric disks which also do other parts as well. I will be keeping this site in my bookmarks for again. also here it is for other just incase you need parts https://thehouseofhydro.com/index.html
  16. Inside the low lying hazer I have there is a heater for the fog fluid and the 10 heat atomiser block. It now seem that the 2 hazes are mixed when in the air inside the machine. How I have found this out I have gotten a loan of a mini snake camera and used it to look inside the machine via side vents as I could only get in one side as the heater for the fog fluid is right beside the other one. http://mcgcs.net/low/5s.jpg the power supply with the red and white wire is the power supply for the 10 head atomiser and the board above it seems to be the board that the hear for the fog fluid is conneted. The pump below is for pumping the distilled water from one chamber to the other. there is another power supply for the control board and the 2 fans on this machine. I can not see the 2 pump for the fog fluid that pumps the og fluid into the heater.
  17. I have taken a few pics of the inside of the low hazer. I will not be taking it apart as only a few weeks old http://mcgcs.net/low/1s.jpg This is where the distilled water is poured in to. http://mcgcs.net/low/2s.jpg The distilled water has to be filled up to the red line. http://mcgcs.net/low/3s.jpg It here where the distilled water ends up
  18. From what I know of the one I have used that I have. It has one slab from what I can see and from what I was told there is a heater for the fog fluid and one for the water. If I get time over the weekend I will put a camera in side the distilled water chamber and see if I can see a what happens inside it. I will also try and take photos of the inside as well. There is 2 drain valves on the back to drain the distilled water off. you have to pour the distilled water in to one chamber which holds 5 liters and when you switch on the machin it pumps it from the chamer to another one where the ultrassonic slabe is to a set level. The fog fluid pipe that comes from the fog tank goes the into a panel on the other side of the tank away from where the distilled water is.
  19. I was following this thread and I have never knew about this program. I may have use for it. I am doing light for a play coming up. If it will play video in the new version. I could see artnet control be very useful. I am hoping to mount a small screen on a stand at the back of the stage which will be used to play 2 different videos of 2 different fires. I do have a windows 7 10" tablet that I could use as the screen also need to kill the backlight when not needed.
  20. from what some of you have said here made me go and look up pond foggers and I can say for sure that what is in side the on I posted a link to its a bit like the one in this youtube video for one part and the 2 part is a smoke/hazer machine in the case as well as 2 fans and some water pumps
  21. Chauvet have one called Cumulus and it excllent. It bult in a flught case and it uses disstilled water and some hazer fluid. https://www.chauvetdj.eu/products/cumulus/
  22. You could try something like this https://www.thomann.de/ie/behringer_powerplay_p1.htm I know a drummer who has put his click on one side and the monitor feed in the other side and it seemed to work very well for him
  23. You can record from the mains out to usb on the LS9 which would save you having to ues something external to record on to. You also will have very clean audio this way. You may be able to record from an aux setup in stero mode on the LS9 as well.
  24. I have had a quick look at your pic of the board there looks to be a few solder joints that may need doing again but I could be wrong. I have ringed them in red. When I work with double sided boards I always make sure it well sorldered as in it come out the other side as well. http://mcgcs.net/pics/pack.jpg
  25. Very well done in doing that. Now you have given me a few ideas for special effects in props.
