  1. Brightsign +1 sure it has tonnes of "options" but thats for another gig. Want A video doing A thing at A time? sure Want A video to play ONCE when SOMEONE does A thing? Sure why not, also wanna make that thing be movement or something else ?
  2. With Nova, If it aint broke dont fix it ! IF you can find it, download the old software and use that. I know we had some issues using the latest 5.? with the older firmware processors, so you COULD update that also, and try again. But 1st call would be just do what you were doing.
  3. I've had a look through their websites and can't seem to see anything that jumps out at me, do you have a link handy? Cheers! I remember having a hook as part of this - https://unicol.com/components-accessories/bolt-on-sockets-pegs but obviously you can use whatever clamp you want here. https://unicol.com/components-accessories/columns then one of these to fit https://unicol.com/installation/ceiling-mounted/ceiling-suspended-universal-mounts. I have also used normal vesa with all the locking parts done right + some doughty clamps and just some t48 + hook on the end.
  4. Fly in out I have done with the VESA mounts and used eyebolts. OR Unicol have a bar hang system that is pretty robust.
  5. Working backwards - depending on the tv's there might be some signage system - which im sure you will know. Samsung has one. We run Blocks which for simple signage is fairly custom. old laptops are more than enough. You can schedule, a touch configuration, but once running its pretty easy. And if you run google enterprise (not sure on that as it looks like its become more open) there is a system that uses chromecast.
  6. Totally the supplier, I can't imagine anyone wants to touch someone else's construction with a stick unless they have the design also. Which will be fun if/when insurance take a look at it.
  7. TV / dekstop monitors are the way to go. We use a bunch of dells as monitor displays. If you go TV route I would avoid d0mestic and go for something rated for a bit more hours and use, like Samsung's PM or QM series, with hdmi adapters which you can power off the usb. I am sure others have it but the higher than d0mestic Samsung's can do network launch and schedule etc which might not be the worst thing.
  8. Not so far. But is this "gen1" or "gen2" They have, also in infinite wisdom, decided that everything will now be USB-C not micro-USB so we now have a bunch of mixed versions that need the right adapters.
  9. Not sure about the outside Might be something odd / custom The Lamp - https://www.thevintagelightbulbcompany.com/large-tube-b22-333-p.asp
  10. Its a Europe wide issue. Amazon.se is less than 12 months old, but people buying on amazon.se are still getting items from uk, especially marketplace sellers. So encoring the wrath of tax fees. Usually its an email to get the money back from amazon, but it's being a regular thing now.
  11. Having had a wee hunt about for, reasons. I found thesekits in Germany. I assume SPS or similar might have locally.
  12. Sticky stuff remover is great. We also use Denatured alcohol at times. Currently dealing with a bunch of LED that has stickers on, stickystuff doesn't touch but the alcohol does. And elbow grease
  13. Would be interesting to see the new thing in use.
  14. Yes, granted, it would add great value for the students however add little value to the college. Don't be so sure. Having a trained staff member means: Training other staff members (see estates etc). Being able to offer external training as wanted. I am intrigued about the load on the bars, as I am fairly confident about them are some pretty mighty IWB's, but thats another time. In all it comes back to spending a bunch of money on something that is needed. When far more is needed to be spent than "acceptable".
  15. <br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252);">I'd strongly disagree with this assessment - It looks to be such a complicated, multi step process to move the tower (compared to a talle or zargess where it's little more than "just move it") and in your venue where you'd have to cycle the tower at least 10 times for a full hang and a similar number for a focus you're gonna find people short-cutting the full official process very quickly and that is exactly how mistakes get made and accidents caused. Is there any other task in your day that takes 10+ mins and which you do 10 times a day that you don't have shortcuts for? I think a key point here is a learning process. A small grid and with students swapping about, it won't be as much of an issue as in a venue. With good planning you can hit 2 bars to rig AND focus a bunch in 3 moves. Maybe some minor focus changes later but most of the work would be done before.
  16. Adding that im sure some first aid can be advanced or special. I did some extra courses that were first aid. Wound management and such as mentioned above is perfectly possible. Stuff that IMHO should be possible is stuff like celox. Its expensive, and "advanced" of what people know, but I'm fairly sure your local ambulance teams will be more than willing to show how to use correctly.
  17. Seeing this pop up. Ubiquti have some new PTZ cams, The reviews look pretty good, IP rated, POE, and of course with their kit you can do airlink to each one. The few reviews I saw they look pretty good with all the features. But not used one myself. Having said that I dont know the output and how it spits out, I know it will go to their controller but Im sure there is a way.
  18. My very strange supplier locally has tonnes of odd stuff. no 500w r7s, but they have got 300w. and some interesting LED dimmable ones. https://www.lamportillallt.se/sv/sok/r7s
  19. Compare model numbers on the martin site. We have a bunch of different martin units, mixing brackets is not a thing that works. I found its by the mm different, but that mm makes it not work.
  20. I cant get the site working but Clas Ohlson is still in the UK via amazon and have online orders. I think they still have the shop in Reading ?

    Illuminated Path

Depends how big the path is, wide and long. Shuttered down profiles either side would be my 1st option. Then EL rope / other LED strip. Fluorescent always seems to be hard to get right, and is never as great as you want unless totally black.
  22. IF you are setting up for instant shows, I would have a bunch of presets*, programmed as you need and viewing the stage, and just run the show through the feed. I guess depending on kit using a remote would be possible. *various washes / areas couple of spots and job done.
  23. Story time! January I ordered with UPS a gift from UK to SE - took 3 days + 2 days messing about in customs and things - very dull. Arrived with almost 0 issues. * 1 week later a package going SE - UK arrived in the UK about 7 days later and has spent the following 3 weeks bouncing in and out and back again, "lost" customs forms 2 times, finally I got an email saying it needed ta paying of "£120 + fees" then without warning they turned up wanting cash on delivery. I'm fighting it right now as it's quite clear they have read the invoice as 600gbp NOT 600SEK * for me. the madness people have had with packages that are gifts is quite the thing. Here we have a "fun" gift tax that is under £60 an item but no more than £150 as a single item. So it can get a bit confusing if items are under limits but others are not. But either way many people are having packages pulled and taxed even with gift markings.
  24. Have I also seen some mention of doing some german style "how to do events" tests may june time also?
  25. I remember having a demo of a ZAP tower - which they were pushing as a "post scope" I remember it being really nice, just didnt go t the height we wanted. But was strong as hell. Also Depending on what else you have it can be used in mixed height (steps etc).
