I've been informed that over the summer (so most likely August) this year we'll be decommissioning and striking our SLD96 rack. We have about 100 (I'd need to count them) dimmer modules, mainly 10A, and the rack itself has two processor modules fitted. The whole lot is coming out, and we'll be disposing, so before it goes to reclamation, we're wondering if anyone is likely to want to salvage all of it or part of it. It's located in Caterham, Surrey.
It has the usual SLD96 foibles, to wit the connectors between the nessie cards are a bit temperamental and it then has a habit of thinking it's in overtemp and running its fans at full. Wiggling the dimmer that is flashing usually cures it.
It has served us well. Its original home was the London Colosseum.
Anyway, a heads up. Anyone who is interested I can put in touch with the technical director. We'd prefer it went as a whole lot, but if need be we'll break up.
