  1. Looks like an error in the chamsys head files, it's the same on magic q and they share the same head library. Below is a link to a head file that should work for you. The manufacturer is "DVGMarty" to make it easier to find once you load it onto your desk. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/s6ka18o3tvzgmxy/AABnvkXQXYHkY2p9pEGNWoy3a?dl=0
  2. Patrick Woodroffe / Cosmo Wilson normally. I’d be surprised if it was anyone else....
  3. Not the same company, but the same type of robot line painter was used for the hexagons at the Gisburne Park Popup. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDYgTt4HCvP/?igshid=5t3250l7u6wi
  4. If it turns out to be the incorrect control voltage there is always the option of a voltage translator, there are a couple available on a popular auction site
  5. I've also just noticed Tag1960 is still punting the interspace box in the for sale section... Or was last December...
  6. Extreme thread necromancy warning - a message to my younger self. Boy, your spelling is bad. I'm glad you worked on that. I finally have the perfect solution to this, yet no longer have the need. The ASL PS19A does exactly what I was trying to achieve. I picked up a couple of units second hand, and they work flawlessly, however a lot of my clients have now invested in green go systems...
  7. Well there is one sat here with your name on it - and I wasn't even going to charge you postage! Oh well, into the box of random adaptors it shall go. Was second hand parts from my old scroller stock and an offcut of starquad, so didn't owe me anything. Just for reference all packs I've ever come across (telex, clearcom, stonewood/metro, tecpro) all share the same pinout for headsets Pin 1 Microphone earth / screen Pin 2 Microphone signal Pin 3 Earphones earth/screen Pin 4 Earphones signal Now that reminds me, time for a bit of embarrassing thread necromancy from a much younger version of myself...
  8. As my post eluded to - when we costed everything out it made more sense to just buy the NE8FF. I do have a few Female to male fly lead adaptors that I made from broken NE8FF's, from memory the ethercon is the NE8FAV with a slightly smaller PCB than the NE8FDP-B. EDIT - blooming part numbers!
  9. NA-housing, an ethercon in a d shape on one side, a blanking plate and a gland on the other side, half an hour to build if it’s a one off, less of you are cracking through a whole bunch... or just buy the couplers!
  10. I've got all the bits to make you one here, could knock it up tomorrow and bung it in the post
  11. 4 leg, self-climbing ground support truss setup? Gives you lighting positions as well as the ability for tab tracks etc. GLS are just down the road from you, could easily supply their prolyte MPT system.
  12. If a console outputs artnet or sacn then I’d use luminet monitor. If it’s just physical DMX outputs I’d use a Swisson tester or similar.
  13. If I remember correctly they are the same as the robe 100 led beam diffusers, might open your search up a bit
  14. Trackspots, arcline, solars and quasars.
  15. What are the benefits of the two processing engines if the unit only has one DMX output? I get that it is "future proofing" for when DMX isn't required, but in that situation, plugging lights directly into a network removes the need for nodes entirely, so what would the process engines be required for exactly?
  16. Most laser source projectors can be run in any orientation* * but don’t take the words of some random person off the internet as gospel ;-)
  17. Have a chat with mirrorball paul... I’d be surprised if he didn’t already have one built. https://www.mirrorballpaul.com
  18. It would probably be easier and cheaper to pick some up from a popular auction site... They aren't mine BTW, just spotted them earlier
  19. At only 3.6m drop colourforce would be overkill, plus they aren’t exactly lightweight. Every hire co I rent kit from stock a cheap, lightweight 1m led batten. Showline estrip 10, Chauvet colourband etc. Even a row of glp x4 bar20’s are lighter than the colourforce
  20. We have peli style boxes modded with half couplers and safety point (with internal metalwork - not just relying on the casing) that we use for this application.
  21. They are very similar to the showtec creator 1024 controllers that run a very “Avolites like” software that uses R20 personalities. So think of it like a classic pearl (pre Titan) and you get the rough idea. The colour scheme is a giveaway....
  22. Apologies for ebay links, taking offers from BR members via PM on here 2x Geffen HDMI Detectives - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223791112890 Kramer Minijack DA - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223791140245 K&M Phone Holder - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223791085169
  23. One of the best pieces of advice I received was to buy a basic cheap set of tools, and replace them piece by piece with good quality items as they wore out. This gives you a cheap start, spreading the cost of expensive tools over a longer period, and helps you find what you actually need and use.
  24. it's not uncommon to see a band touring a selection of bits from RML's "Disco Basement" as a retro look for a song or two, although they aren't the little mobile DJ oriented units you have The control of these moonflower effects back in the day was just powering the mains on and off, from home made disco consoles with just banks of switched sockets, to (if you were fancy) touch panels and switchpacks (analog of course) Sadly there are some things that have never been bettered from that pre-DMX control era, such as strobeflowers, arcline, quazars... Which ties in nicely to your post on strobes.
  25. I’ve not heard them but the K-array tornado kt2 caught my eye as a small fill speaker option recently. I’m not sure about their combined speaker and led models, they look very gimmicky, but the speaker might be an avenue to explore
