c.cam108
I think you underestimate the value of trade shows. The first thing to know is that very little business takes place at them. All those deals you see in the press being signed at PLASA were done and dusted months before. When I attend any show I always make a point to look at every stand. I may not have any interest in the products now but who knows what the future might bring. In fact I tend to spend more time with manufacturers I don't know than those I do. They are a fantastic way to put faces to names; never underestimate the value of having met someone in real life. Think of them as part of your ongoing education. This is spot on. The last time I went to PLASA for a customer I found nothing of relevance - to them - but an astonishing amount of interest and intellectual stimulation for me. If you are in any way interested in this field you will not regret a visit and may even turn into a regular.I'll be there, depending on transport. Anyone heading down on the Tuesday from the Glasgow area?

Thomas1987
Heading down on Tuesday with a few staff for a bit of a nosey and catch up. Just wondering if anyone knows anywhere suitable to park a mini bus? Have a sneaking suspicion it won't fit in a multi storey car park!
cedd
Just as you leave the ring road driving towards the armouries, pretty much immediately after the roundabout on the right there's a car park for a tile depot type place. Couple of years ago I parked in there as it was shut. No idea if it's reopened though. About a quarter mile walk to get to the venue. Alternatively there's on street parking on the loop road around the armouries complex/canal basin. It's limited time mind you - couple of hours I think. It's not a massive walk from central Leeds. There are lots of car parking spaces alongside the market/bus station. All pay and display but it's an outdoor car park so no height restrictions - similarly in the car par for the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Just walk back towards the Corn Exchange, under the railway and you're almost there from the market one.

Last time I took a minibus I parked it in one of the coach spaces as noted here -http://www.plasafocus.com/leeds/travel/Not sure how legal/anti-social that is. It's not term time, so I guess there may be fewer coaches. KC

Simon Lewis
An excellent day at Plasa.... had a good chat with the inimitable Dr Thrust, but despite the discrete roll of blue gel in Kit Lane's badge, not a single Blue Roomer approached or was spotted! kitlane
I spotted Kit, but I didn't spot any blue gel... Ben, it was rolled up and tucked into the hole at the top of the badge. Perhaps a bit too subtle. I didn't notice anyone else with Congo.
