  1. hi guys thanks for reply these are things I do currently use to work out but I want to know in the case when this information is not listed. Also the 2000watt amp was an example and 400 watts as an average output per speaker as I know and do is match like for like with power on amps and speakers. I work with this equipment all the time but just would like any easy way if any to calculate the current usage! Thanks for the suggestions so far though.
  2. Hi I need some help finding out how to work out the ammount of current an amplifier uses. As an example lets say you have a 2000watt amplifier but of course it wont always be sat at 2000watts output if at all. So if say you have two speakers and each one is rms at about 400watts each. How would you calculate the ammount of Current (Amps) it will be drawing from say a ring main. Is this a possible thing to work out or does anyone have any round about figures. The main reason for my thinking behind this is having a small generator and wanting to know roughly what power/current I will need. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi basically my concern is that if say I use 3 connections for cameras to me then the other 2 for sending as signal from me to a couple of video screens all using composite will it work. I should have asked this first sorry for not being clear I suppose I was trying to explain the setup. Another question would be I have a mac book pro and want to convert VGA to composite to send down the bnc what's the cheapest way to do this. Thanks
  4. Hi thanks for the reply the multicore is good quality as far as I know. I bought it from a television company it doesn't need to be amazing quality I suppose. The main use will be backstage to FOH video and feeds from other various cameras using Bnc to composite so as long that works all is good. Thanks if anyone else has some more info on BNC etc that would be great.
  5. Im wondering if anyone can help me I have a 5 way 50 meter BNC multicore. I would like to know if it is possible to connect a BNC to Composite connector onto one of the bnc connections and the same at the other end then plug say a camera into it and then the other end into a projectors composite port would this work. My other question is will a 5 way BNC to VGA cable on both ends of the cable work connected from a Laptop to a Projector. Hope ive said enough and someone can help Many Thanks
  6. Hello I would like to know if a smoke machine would set off a smoke detector this been a proper installed one not a cheapy that screws to the ceiling. I need to know this as we have to tape up our trap doors on the stage so no smoke can get underneath to the smoke detectors. Is it neccessary with all the fuss!!!
