'lo, I have found two CP40 1000w lamps in our stock which are not needed. Not sure if they were for lanterns no longer with us or a miss order. Would anyone have a use for them? Happy to let them go if the cost of postage is covered, or maybe a decent tale is submitted. Ideally UK postage please

Did not know that Sure all minims I have used - quite a few were using 500w lamps, strange how industry practise does not match the manufacturers guidance. Remember someone telling me the light output they saw from a PATT 23 or 123, thought it was awesome, only to find that the tech had managed to bodge a 1kw lamp inside.

Be warned that there may not be much in the way of excess cable behind the socket. Also seen a few with linked earth cables, which getting two or three cables into one terminal was a push.

Bet there are still a few Brios or SLs knocking around in Odeon cinemas. Installed and forgotten about

What about light panels? They could have quite slim profiles? Arri for example Also with honeycomb / baffle on the front this could stop / reduce camera flare

'lo, this is something I have been pondering as time goes by and another year working within the industry. Would I leave or where next to go in a few years? My history is started in theatre as crew, worked up to being a techncial manager in a few different roles. Have worked in a few non performance places - rental companies and installation. So anyhoos just pondering the future and almost up to retirement and my stance of leaving the industry is has softened over the years. Is anyone currently working towards another career or has a plan in place for changing?
