Lighting Barrel Tape?

Hi All,

I've bought replacement barrel mirror strips for a barrel lighting effect, but they don't come pre-assembled in any way. 

They will be rolled around the metal disc at one end but they are just held by tape or glue at the other end.. 

My question is, does anyone have any experience with this and what did you use as the "tape/glue"?

The Chauvet rep I spoke to suggested carpet tape but I've no experience and don't fancy buying it if it's not going to work

It's double sided rubbery tape on the ones I have seen. Often backed up by a bead of silicone. Something like this

If you need that stuff in a hurry, try a car accessory shop, it’s used for sticking on number plates.

3M make a strip intended to fit body trim onto cars. Maybe similar to the number plate stuff?

But if a car in hot sun stays together, and nothing falls off at 90mph it’s pretty strong.

3M VHB , might be a bit overkill, all its permutations are  very permanent. 

Look up generivally Nano Tape, its clear and removable if need to change mirror again.
