Hi guys.

I have small job at the end of the year. If it happens its is two or three simple cameras plus a couple of video clips, outputting into something like Zoom. Has anyone got tips? Its and annual lighting and sound job, but this year it might be fed out as well.

OBS (free) will do this if you have some capture hardware to get the cameras into the computer. Will output directly into zoom using OBS-virtualcam plugin.

I agree and OBS Studio is superb and free. I recently did a three camera set-up for webcasting to facebook from my boat on the Thames:

I have a couple of go pro type cameras going thru low cost HDMI to USB converters and use the macbook facetime camera too.

I added an elgato stream deck for convenience and for rolling video clips etc but you can easily do most things just on the keyboard.

At work we are using V-Mix a lot and it has a lot more features and a version with limited inputs for just short of £50: https://www.vmix.com

Atem mini is a nice gadget but he asked for software... And if video playback is involved you'd need something like vmix or obs to do that anyway.

I find vMix vastly better than OBS. It has a fully functioning 60 day free trial so you could install it well before the gig to try it out.

V-Mix does look a lot more comprehensive than OBS but sadly it only runs on PC and I have Mac.

I looked at the ATEM Mini Pro but got sick of waiting for delivery so found a lower cost OBS solution.

V-Mix is on air most days doing some of our remote football, golf and cricket shows.

I rather like the Atem mini - but I control it by the software, rather than prod the buttons - it does, however have 4 HDMI ins, networking and a USB-c out that can go into your computer for streaming.

The atem is incredibly powerful. I have the earlier television studio version but want the atem mini proThe atem software can control a recorder to playback as a VT feed although with the television studio unit I managed to get ok quality out of a cyclone 2 media player that's about 5% of the cost
