Curtain / valance on steeldeck

Hello,

 

What's the usual / accepted way for attaching curtain to the front of some steeldeck to mask it off? Normally for one offs it gets taped, but we are looking to have something that is detachable and can be taken on and off with the material made to measure from Whaleys etc. Would it be hardcore velcro or is there something designed for the job?

Velcros works, although you have to make sure it is firmly fixed to the staging - I have retractable seating with velcro masking, that is riveted on, as well as stuck on.

What you do have to remember is unless you are attaching velcro to every side, you have to build it with the velcro on the perimeter edges. Fine if you remember, not if you don't!!!

There is flexible magnetic tape that will work if it steeldecking if its ally you will need the steel strip on the edge a bit like velcro. The magnetic tape can be stuck to the material, but its better if there is a pocket for it to slide into.

We use hardcore Velcro and it is fine.

But remember that you need variable valances if you change the height
