Angelic
As far as I know the only extensions are monitor and keyboard - I don't think you can access submasters via an external desk or wing.
smeggie
aww, that could have been so cool - finally a use for the sirius 24 that served me so well before I upgraded B) . I wonder if using the remote function, you could patch in the sirius as another 24 channel controls, thus making the 'wide' total to 64 manual masters. ah well... something for the dark period of the summer? :D is there any specialist keyboard needed for any of the functions of the frog - I have found the interface to be usable w/out using one. andrew
Angelic
Nope, you just need the arrow keys for navigation, the letter keys for naming scenes if you wish to do so (from here on I'm not sure which functions have been implemented and which are being reviewed for the next upgrade!), return key to be used as a 'go' button and backspace for deleting scene names (that one definitely isn't in use - yet!) Regards, Rich.
smeggie
ok then, nothing lost by not using one - since when do I ever have the time to name scenes?cheers andrew
richard
By the way, the hog II cost around £20,000 - so may be a little out of your league. Richard
Angelic
Out of my league - there's no such thing! Right, now where can I get that second mortgage - you can do that for lighting desks, right??!! That's quite a lot, however it does do everything you could possibly want and then some more!
smeggie
well, that's as maybe, but does it make a good cup of coffe/tea? ;) - for that price it should do! :D

smeggie
she's not french is she? hmmm, if it gets hot enough to make toast, then it should be able to heat water. I know that one of our amps can do this - the water needs to be in a kettle though- metal sides B) though it only heats the water to far below boiling point so the quality of tea is pretty poor ;) I wonder if a kettle could be linked to DMX so as to be turned on before the interval and during the last scene :D could be useful on a long run/panto?< Thinks in a scheming way >
Ben
sure you can control a kettle from the desk, just put in in a dimmer and profile it as non dim, then build this into the cues before the interval and you have a nice hot kettle when you want it.I have done this and the one thing to remember is to switch the kettle on before the show otherwise the socket becomes live but the kettle doesnt get hot...otherwise it works a treat, I have done some work n the past few days witha guy who runs his scaelectrics off the desk too for between shows, he races them with the sliders, very cool stuff
Ketil B
I know that one of our amps can do this - the water needs to be in a kettle though- metal sides B) though it only heats the water to far below boiling point so the quality of tea is pretty poorWhat you need is an old school resister bast dimmer, they get nice and hot ;) bit dodgy whit HS tho' :D
Angelic
Lmao - she'd kill me if she found out! You can always get hold of a cheap switch pack - hey presto, tea! Now, how about a DMX system to put in sugar and milk.........
