dbuckley
yep, looking for a small or tiny decent fresnel, an Acclaim is just too big for this use, only needs to be 200W or possibly less, but with proper accessories like barn doors! Its for a little stage with little headroom, to be screwed to the ceiling!

GregB
Spot Light make just such a unit, http://www.spotlight.it/prodotto.asp?lang=...mp;ProdottoId=3 I have in the past had these custom powder coated white to 'blend in' with the cieling colour, looked very trick and still maintained all the egular features of a standard fresnel! :** laughs out loud **:
dbuckley
What kind of price are these little Spotlight things? And RoyJ - thanks for the offer, but shipping to New Zealand would make the offer uneconomic :** laughs out loud **:

paulears
or the Arris - here's a link to a 150W!
adam2
Microlights limited used to make a very small fresnel, dont know if they still do.Used a 12 volt 100 watt lamp, and was available with or without an integral transformer.(the above firm are a supplier of retail and architectural lighting, not theatre, but some of their products are useful in smaller performance spaces) I installed a dozen of these to light a small stage area in a pub, they were a good compromise between d0m3stic rubbish and proper stage lighting. madorangepanda
+1 to the suggestion of a small ARRI fresnel, very good and oh so tiny.
Neil Hampson
Another vote for the ARRI's, also a good point to note they are available in a more traditional theatre black finish as well as the TV/Film silver & blue. Not sure if this is for all of the range though.

dbuckley
In the category of "Things I had in the garage and had forgotten about", I found a couple of Altman Micro Floods... I'll have a play with these and see how well they do.
Don Allen
The original Strand Minim was designed as a 3ooW window display unit although a lot of amdram use them with a 500W lamp which cooks them. The PAR16 birdies would also work as you could almost have a standard rig and use dimable transformers.
StevieR
These are often used in film and TV and are VERY compact - Dedolight Steve
