Some time ago I ordered a load of these style white plugs with around 6 inches of cable to repair moving light looms

its been that long since I repaired a loom, that I've forgotten the name of this style connector and where I got them from.. Any pointers ?

Picture is just an example of the plug looking for various sizes,

You need to check the pitch. Measure very carefully the distance between the centres of the first and last pins then divide that by the number of pins minus 1. eg. If you measure 14mm on that 8 way connector then it is a 2mm pitch. If you measure just under 18mm (actually 17.78) then it's a 2.54mm or 0.1" pitch. That makes it easier to suggest the connector family.
