Dune DL FOG-1502 User Manual

I have a Dune DL FOG-1502 https://www.ccslightsound.com.au/dune-1500w-smoke-machine-dmx512-timer-remote that is not responding to DMX channel 1 fog level, but when the DMX is present, you cannot use remote control unit, so the DMX chip appears to be OK.  I cannot find a manual, the DIP switch has 10 switches, the tenth one has a Star. I have tried it in both positions, but it does not appear to be  DMX enable. Any suggestions ?

 can you set the desk to output channels 1-512 at full,then try switches 1 and 10 in the various combinations,that will give you clue as whether its responding to DMX or not

you also mite need to disconnect the remote from the smoke machine to be able to get it to work with DMX.

In addition to the other suggestions, you might try inverting the settings on the switches so that switch 1 is off and all the others on for channel 1.

Another possibility is that you need to add 1 to the switches to get the address so as shown that might be address 257. But you have to try all of these possible settings in all the permutations. Using the desk to set 1-512@FULL and, if it works, doing a binary chop to find out what channel it's on is also a good idea.
