Flying TV

Hopefully this is the right place for this question! I am looking to have a TV either fly in and out above stage or track in from the side. We previously achieved this with a custom made frame which was mounted onto track and travelled across stage however I am hoping that there is an off the shelf product that I could use for the mounting side of things. My current idea is to fly a piece of truss and have the TV attached to this. Hopefully someone has done this before and can point me in the right direction! :)

Fly in out I have done with the VESA mounts and used eyebolts. OR Unicol have a bar hang system that is pretty robust.

I've had a look through their websites and can't seem to see anything that jumps out at me, do you have a link handy?

Cheers!

I remember having a hook as part of this - https://unicol.com/components-accessories/bolt-on-sockets-pegs but obviously you can use whatever clamp you want here. https://unicol.com/components-accessories/columns then one of these to fit https://unicol.com/installation/ceiling-mounted/ceiling-suspended-universal-mounts.

I have also used normal vesa with all the locking parts done right + some doughty clamps and just some t48 + hook on the end.

Are you simply trying to fly a screen from a couple of lines?

If yes I'd probably be looking at a metal plate about 2mm thick, drill the holes for the Vesa mounts and 2 more holes at the top for the shackles.

You may need to make some consideration for getting the fixings forward of the plate to make it fly erect, that may be as simple as a nut and bolt with several washers to space the hanging fixing points forwards of the plate. Another idea could be a couple of flat bars, maybe 3 or 4mm thick, screwed vertically to the vesa points and extending upwards with an angle iron bolted (even better welded) across them (probably extending the whole length of the TV) to take eyebolts.
