stillwave
I'm attempting to repair one of our G300 haze machines, the plug in remote module no longer springs to life with lights or the 7 segment display etc. Initial probing reveals it is receiving 5v from the CPU board but with the unfortunate liquidation of Lemaitre Ltd I'm unable to to phone the what was the very helpful technical dept there. I was wondering if anybody happened to have the schematics or technical manual for G300 mk1 specifically the V2 relay &/or V1 CPU boards to aid in fault finding? gareth
If he still works with them, Steve Lloyd in tech support is the most helpful chap - I'm sure he'll be able to supply you with the info you need.

Le Maitre mk2 has risen from the ashes and now all department are based in Peterborough. https://www.lemaitreltd.com/contact/ Hi Brian, I tried those phone numbers before posting but attempted several times since. I've fired off an email to the email link to see if that gets a response. Swapping the CPU board to our known working machine also operates the working machine correctly, initial probing reveals it is receiving 5v to the CPU board from the relay board. The only differences I can see between the working & nonworking machines V2 Relay boards are that the working machine has R15 & R1 populated whereas the nonworking machine has these unpopulated? The working machine has a DMX plug in module whereas the non working has a plain remote plug in module, plain remote module works on the working machine also. I was wondering if anyone could supply the schematics or technical manual for G300 mk1 specifically the V2 relay &/or V1 CPU boards or even what the expected voltages on the xlr pins for the plugin remote modules to aid in fault finding? Let's hope everyone has ordered their pyro for panto season early enough!
Stuart91
Let's hope everyone has ordered their pyro for panto season early enough! Especially since there seems to be zero chance of getting dry ice or CO2 for other effects...
stillwave
Still no response from lemaitre email, no luck with the phone numbers listed on the website. After many nights hunched over the board individually removing components noting their identification on the board & measuring values, I have now reverse engineered the schematic & think I've found the offending resistor. Hopefully makes BigClive proud with his videos giving me the confidence to trace the circuits & produce a schematic from them (that & lack of comms from LeMaitre meant it's do or die for the machine anyhow!) Here's hoping LeMaitre pull through, always been a pleasure in dealing with them.
stillwave
Update: yay, suspected offending resistor was the cause. G300 belching haze again!
KevinE
Crickey, I didn't know they'd gone into liquidation. (jan, 2021 apparently). I ordered a replacement neutron star heater off them last month (sept) which arrived, as per usual, next day. I think the G300 is a smoke machine BTW rather than a hazer? kitlane
I think the G300 is a smoke machine BTW rather than a hazer? True, but it has a 'haze' mode which works with their C-Beam fluid to produce a haze-like effect.
graemeftv
Steve Lloyd was a member of the the blueroom, does anyone know if he still is? what is his user name? and is he still working for the current le maître company?

Steve hasn't visited since 2012. His registered email address is (was?) his Le Maitre one.

Viking fireworks in Ramsgate and Illusion Pyrotechnics in Sittingbourne still exist and each have a catalogue that includes useful items. Illusion still have their adaptors that allow their pod system to work in a LeMaitre pod system.
mikienorth
Having started work on resurrecting a g300 or 6 recently, I have a circuit diagram, list of fault codes and what they mean, likely diagnoses of these fault codes, and also had email correspondence with a service guy at LM as recently as November. All this was sent to be by LM, who really are very helpful in getting you to keep your machinery running. If I recall my email correspondence started with a phone call. But, if anyone's struggling, give me a shout and I'll share what I know.
