pscandrett
We won't go into the 80's broadcast gear spotting. Where did they get a complete 80's OB truck from, do OB truck collectors exist? Yes, just pick your era and region and someone probably has one in a warehouse. As well as restored TV OB scanners (here's another: http://www.tvobhistory.co.uk/bbc-north-3.html ) you can also hire all sorts of period broadcast stuff - cameras, mics, lights etc... see http://www.golden-agetv.co.uk/equipment.php?ExhbtID= for example. Young Johnstone
Looks like a Best Boy to me! I doubt there would be be enough VL1s left to fill even half the rig for that film.Just be glad they even put 6 lamp PAR bars on it, they're probably becoming hard enough to source these days too! timsabre
I was thinking they could have dressed them up as vl1's by sticking boxy bits on the front if they wanted to impress Blue Room users...
andy_s
I've not seen the film but if they wanted to go for maximum 1980's moving light authenticity, then at least one of the fixtures should be 'doing it's own thing'. also for 2018 moving light authenticity, if the show reports I've been reading recently are anything to go by..... (though to be fair, I think most of the instances can be put down to tracking errors when moddiing / replotting in a hurry) - this was a show made with mostly generics transferring to a venue with mostly moving lights....) ninjadingle
I'm sure I saw PRG in the credits - gives the Best Boy theory some credibility.... Probably had their entire stock of PARs as well
mm01
I tried to watch the film last night, think it must have been a bootleg because all I could see was a little silhouette of a man Brilliant http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif
