Javis
Hello, A tech friend of mine has a few sets of HK systems, 3 of which are white, and are looking little tired, what would you say is the best paint to give the cabs? Something has some longevity and is not going to peal off after two shows. Thanks
DanSteely
I can firmly recommend Tuff Cab paint. I'd rough up the existing painted surface with abrasive paper to give the new paint something to grip to. Apply with a small roller. http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=TUFFCAB1_3007

Absolutely brilliant product but make sure the existing surface is clean (de-greased, especially smoke fluid) and roughened. We used a small sponge roller and got through one sponge per 2 fairly large bass bins.
ninjadingle
Ah - fond memories of painting the old Turbo system in TuffCab blue. My hands always ended up looking like a smurf! Good stuff though.
Simon Lewis
What's the coverage like with this paint? As a summer project I'm hoping to tart up some older OHM enclosures and need to work out how many tins I'll need!

Hypersound
I use Tuff Cab myself so not particularly having a go but there are some caveats. Firstly, it is intended for bare wood and doesn't always stick to a previous coating particularly well. It is (or was) made by Aldcrofts but is now only sold by Blue Aran. IIRC Blue Aran can provide samples, but that might have been Aldcrofts! Secondly, it needs some time to cure before it gets to full hardness. With a new cab and bare wood, this can be anything up to a week depending on the temperature, which can be a PIA. Without this it will scratch really easily. Thirdly, imho it is not as hard wearing as other finishes but, on the plus side, it is very easy to touch up any scratches. Link to the info on the Blue Aran site if you haven't already got there.http://blog.bluearan.co.uk/tuff-cab-loudspeaker-paint/ hth.Andy
