neilalexrose
Is there any chance that someone recognises what this radio mic might be? And if anyone has any available to borrow/hire, that would also be good! It's from TV shows sometime in the 1980's. http://i1338.photobucket.com/albums/o700/neilalexrose/Microphone%201980s%20v2_zpsfmq66k9u.jpg http://i1338.photobucket.com/albums/o700/neilalexrose/Microphone%201980s_zpsenlllkop.jpg Thanks Neil
xllx
Looks like a Micron TX203(?), used to be pretty much the standard for broadcast and corporate in the 80's and 90's. Had a couple of different capsule types if I remember correctly. Can't think who would have them in hire stock these days, and if they did, whether they would have them in a currently usable frequency. Micron still exist as a company, might be worth giving them a call.

Jivemaster
The real ones may well be on a VHF band, which may not be usable now. If someone is hiring them then maybe they have a licence or the mics now transmit in a deregulated band.

Jivemaster
The indicated mic range above has two models in the VHF deregulated band but may be off the current spot frequencies (the 174.n ones), The 208.n mic is off the dereg band but may be licensable

GaryNattrass
We used four of them on The Tube and numerous other TV shows at Tyne Tees in the 80's. They had an Omni or a Cardioid capsule and were defo VHF.
