adamburgess
I've got a little Focusrite 2i2 that's been fine for 3 years gigging every night. Cheap and cheerful. Sounds fine and seems well built so far.Depending on the type of art etc., maybe you will need more outputs than 2... Adam
the grumpy one
We are in the process of changing our music edit suites to the Focusrite scarlette2i2 (2nd gen). Price about £118. I have been bench testing one now for the last 8 weeks, 8hrs a day, 5 days a week. No issues at all to date. 2 duel balanced Mic/line inputs (XLR/1/4" Jack) on the front. 48v phantom available at the flick of a switch. 2 Balanced Line output (1/4" jack) on the back. When using a Mac there is no drivers or software to load. Just plug and play on USB 2. 16 or 24 bit, sample rate up to 192kHz.
