ekul1978
Just wondering if anyone knows of any companies that might stock either of the gobos mentioned in the title for hire or sale (going into a Selecon so 'M' size) Need a couple for a GCSE performance of DNA in late November/early December. I know I could get some custom ones made but its a bit of a waste of money as they are only being used once, hence the hire being more preferable. Had a quick Google round and found some barcode ones from projectedimage but cant really seem to find much on the helix one.

Don Allen
If you have access to a Selecon Pacific, you could print your own plastic fergo or use a LED gobo projector.
ekul1978
Good shout Jivemaster, will pass that on to the head of department and see if he likes it, hopefully he will but may need to find a single strand one too to cover all bases. Thanks for the comment Don, unfortunately we only have the acclaim profiles and three strand 22/40's, will ask the local hire guys if they have a few LED projectors as a fall back option. Brian
Don't you have access to a video projector? You could then run an animation.
J Pearce
I've used goboplus a few times, always been smooth and quick to buy from them.
ekul1978
Brian we do have access to a projector but only two an the HOD wants 4 separate images, hanging them from our roof is a little awkward too as we don't have a designated hanging bracket/system. As a last resort we could use them and hire in a couple more with maybe some brackets too.
alistermorton
Do you need the images in different locations or two of them together?
ekul1978
Its four different locations - they are going to be projected onto lightweight moving panels hung from the roof on runners and curtain track
J Pearce
If your projector or projectors could cover more than one of the panels from a location you could use a screen mapping system to project the images. (Even PowerPoint will do this with a bit of fiddling about) Basically - imagine your projector can hit two panels - one upper left and one lower right, you then position the images accordingly in your projectors space rather than projecting the image full screen and focussing the projector to fill the whole panel. That said, a gobo will be much quicker and more reliable.
