gunner
Hi Guys & Gals As it's now January, I don't feel quite so bad about asking this. I am looking for a friendly giant costume for this years panto (jack and the beanstalk). My director has seen a couple already that aren't available, so thought I would reach out to the combined experience here to see if anyone knows of one that may be available for hire, or worse case scenario, a company that could possibly make one for us. gareth
We did Jack last season (2014/5) and had a particularly impressive giant - will ask the production office about its current whereabouts. It does need a pretty skilled stilt artiste to 'drive' it, though .... Edit to add : a couple of photos of ours, offstage and on.http://www.jagprops.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Giant-Mold.jpghttp://www.jagprops.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Giant-and-Jill.jpg

ImagineerTom
Every panto set hire company as well as every single panto producer that have their own kit (Qdos, Imagine, Evolution, Paul Holman, Littlewolf) will have several giant's "in stock" - they aren't anything like as rare as you imagine them to be. Somebody should get them all together and have an enormous brawl. I'd pay good money to watch it.
