IRW
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows of any 24-channel fader panels? Either single or dual preset, preferably with no sort of programmability other than A & B masters and a grand master, and outputting on DMX. The closest I've found so far is the Showtec Showmaster 48, but I really don't want the programming section of it- this is most definitely a 'push fader up, light comes on' situation. Essentially, I'm looking for a DMX equivalent to a 24-channel Tempus desk! Thanks, Ian
Don Allen
The Jands Stage 12 is the most basic fader desk I can think of, there is a chaser function set up by the flash keys, but no memory recording. it is a 12 channel 2 preset or 24 channel wide mode. Geetrt
I don't think it gets any simpeler than the ehrgeiz simple desk.

KCLeblanc
I don't think it gets any simpeler than the ehrgeiz simple desk. That might actually be too basic! Doesn't seem to have any masters. Plus the power switch is on the back, which might be too hard for the type of end user the OP is buying for. http://www.thomann.de/gb/ehrgeiz_simpledesk_24_dmx_controller.htm

xllx
Another possible option is an Easy Fade 36. Either 18 way 2 preset, or 36 way single preset. Not quite your 24 way, but it does have mastering. Can you squeeze your 24 channels down to 18? http://www.thomann.de/gb/showtec_easy_fade_36.htm?ref=prod_rel_375323_1
MarkPAman
Any reason it couldn't be two completely separate 12 way systems? Yet another Thomann link!

Yorkie
http://www.terralec.co.uk/dmx_lighting_controllers/cobra_colour_control_48_dmx_controller/32488_p.html That's identical to the Showtec Showmaster 48 deemed slightly too complicated in the first post. Shame the Easy Fade 36 is too small because that looks brilliant for lack of complexity
IRW
This absolutely has to be a 24 channel desk. As Yorkie said, the Cobra thing is the Showtec rebadged. It's so annoying that there seems to be desks that are perfect control-wise, but are slightly too small! Just to reiterate my specification:- Must have 24 control faders for direct 1-1 control of circuits- Either single preset, or dual preset would be acceptable- No further controls other than A/B masters and grandmaster in the case of dual preset. In the case of single preset, just a grand master. The idea is for this to be a quick and easy desk for basic control applications in a rehearsal room. We've got plenty of other higher end desks available that can go in if advanced control is required. So far the Ehrgeiz SimpleDesk 24 as suggested by Geetrt is in the lead, if only the Easy Fade 36 was available in a slightly larger format it would be perfect. As I've mentioned in my other thread, this is to replace a 24-way Strand LX console.
KCLeblanc
Not a very tidy solution, but you could use one of these to combine two small desks. http://www.thomann.de/gb/botexdmx_merge_dm2512.htm?ref=search_rslt_dmx+merger_172666_0

musht
Any reason it couldn't be two completely separate 12 way systems? Yet another Thomann link! Have to run the as 2 seperate lines, no setting start address on the 6 and 12 ways, but they do run off batteries which can be handy. e2a the Botex merger ( a Philips brand) allows offset of start address of second DMX stream. Junior8
I don't think you're going to do better than the Ergheiz. All you need as a GM is a peice of wood as long as the panel! An old solution I know but it did us back in the Junior 8 days...
