bruce
A last minute plea for help. A friend is in Sligo today and tomorrow, at the Fleadh. He’s left a key bit of audio kit behind - can anyone help out? We’re looking for a USB audio interface of some kind. Doesn’t really matter what sort - just need to get sound into a laptop. Can anyone help? We’ve tried phoning most of the computer stores in the area. (as this is a charity project, remuneration is likely to come in pint glasses...) Bruce. bruce
It’s a long story - we’re community radio and were doing an OB from there. Due to a network issue, our main encoder system wouldn’t work, and the audio interface for the backup had been left back at base. In the end, we got 2 solutions, getting both systems working. The “improvisation” bit was realising that the Zoom recorder that we were using to record the gig could also be used as an audio input to the laptop. Haha - had the geography been workable - that's what I'd have been offering you!
