DSA
I would Recommend Steeldeck, We stock a set of it over here in the U.S. Its great stuff. I would like to hear what some other people think about Steeldeck, Its is not as big in the U.S. yet.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Heavy and awkward. Full Stop. (Especially the steps for some reason). [afterthought] Quite useful stuff though! [/afterthought] David

paulm
Sounds like you need StageDex by Prolyte. Lightweight (alloy frame, ply surface), very well manufactured, looks good (unlike Steeldeck - gets very manky), well engineered so nice and strong for it's weight. A 2 x 1m section is a tough 1 person lift, the 1 x 1s are an easy lift. Prolyte also do adjustable legs, so you buy one set for a range of heights. Reasonably compact for storage - it's only about 70mm deep, approx 1/3rd that of steeldeck. We have a load in rental stock. After lugging it around at Hogmanay, I won't use anything else. www.stagedex.com (I think - google if not, or via Plasa site) Paul
johnhuson
I would recommend Metrodeck from Maltbury who do a steel and an aluminium version. The steel version is much lighter than Steel Deck! Other bonus is that it's stocked by quite a few hire companies, includin Stage LX so suplementing stock isn't hard.
