Well it means you can have extra windows up and visible all the time without them clogging up the main screen etc.

 

For instance in the past I've used a 14" 2nd monitor for DVD or TV while I've worked on my main 17"... Can be easier some times!

 

Mind you I've got a 14" TV screen now as the monitor went a bit kabloomy!

I know some programs need 2 monitors but why use the 15" for e-mail and blue room?

Seriously, it's because I need to drag info from e-mails or internet to Exel or Word quite often. Plus, it's a laptop - 15" on the LCD, plus a 17" CRT. If you have a laptop - try it. It's soooo useful.

I can agree with that,

 

2x 17" + 1x14" at home, absolutly brilliant, :D

 

then I go to work - sit at my desk all day and get frustrated with just 1x17" :o
