Wow.

I love it uses mercury vapour rectifiers.

Thank you Jivemaster!!! I've been looking for that first video for ages!

 

Some industries still use valves all the time, or at least the same technology.... they're still one of the best ways to get tonnes of gain from one stage. 50dB's in one go from a travelling wave tube.
