GEN
Hi people. I am currently in seach for some face plates that allow for D-Type chassis sockets to be loaded into them, and then the plates to be loaded into surface mount gang boxes. Now I know they sell theese in CPC but I am after the ones with lipped edges for a better fit onto the gang box, as the ones in CPC are totally flat and just lay on top of the gang box's. Any ideas? Yorkie
I'd like to find someone who will punch me four or five MK Metalclad one gang blank plates to suit rear mounting of one or two powercons/ethercons etc per plate. I already know of Andolite and Multitex, who else might do it? Will they need repainting after they're punched?
boatman
Try Bryant Unlimited (previously known as Bryant Broadcast).
bruce
Look in the yellow pages under "sheet metal fabricators". Last time I needed a similar job done - a very hot day - the "bill" was 4 ice creams....
J Pearce
CPC stock some prepunched, though they are slightly wider than a standard back box and sit proud round the edges.
Cupboard
Yorkie: I am pretty sure I've got some punches at work of that size and I'd be happy to do a few for beer money if it's just the face plates you're after. I'll have a check tomorrow. Punches are very useful things to have around, we have a reasonably large collection.
