computer
Heya! Looking for a free program that will allow me to design electronics with lots of symbols I can place in. I found a program called Circuit Maker but its limited to like 50 items in the trial version which obviously isn't much! Any help appriciated, computer
themadhippy
do you need to simulate the circuit?if so then its going to cost a few quid,I use electronics workbench, managed to get it with an educational licence, cost around £80. if its olny to draw the circuit diagrams turbocad is freely avaliable and contains a few electronic symbols in its library just a little edit : have a look at http://www.epanorama.net/links/software.html there maybe something usefull
IanG
I've heard http://xcircuit.ece.jhu.edu/ might do what you want, but I've not tried it.
Brian
Many people use Eagle which does schematics and PCBs.

kalmatthew
Crocodile Clips dosent offer a free version. It used to offer single user educational licences, but now even theses are not sold. I'm not so sure about PCB wizzard though.
Mush
Second vote for Cadsoft Eagle, schematic capture means it checks the PCB matches the circuit diagram.Free version for non commercial use available.
