JackBrienLX
So I was talking to a very good friend of mine today and he claims that potentially, tungsten lamps could be banned in theatres. Has anyone heard anything about this? And if this is true then how will it affect our trade, will it mean a massive rise in the use of HMI and ark lamps, or maybe LED technology will be good enough by then to completely replace the need for such lamps. Any thoughts on this? Jack
richardc1983
Firstly though why would they ban the use of tungsten lamps??? They are by far the most used lamp currently surely.

paulears
Moderation: Something odd - this topic has been covered before, bt I can't find it at the moment. Searching brings up the title but the topic appears to be missing. We'll see if we can find it - for the moment, probably best not to post here until we find the missing topic - if anybody knows where it is, or finds it - please let us know, but there isn't a prize! bruce
the original thread is here. I guess that two threads have been merged, and the google search is still pointing at the "old" one.
