  1. Can anyone suggest a simple, stand-alone (ideally not PI or equiv based) MP4 video player that can be configured to play a video on a loop from power up with no user intervention? I've got a little Sumvision Cyclone Micro2 but it won't play from power up :( Something I can stick on the back of a screen that will be switched off overnight (screen & player), possibly using a timeswitch.
  2. The great thing about using a router is having the dhcp server :) If extra boxes aren't a problem, then have a switch for all the cabled bits, a seperate AP for wifi and a router (wifi disabled) to act purely as DHCP.
  3. I've noticed that too. Never - well almost never - been an issue for me. Is it because battery technology is so useless (Apple seem quite bad...) or is it just because they don't bother charging them in a sensible way? I always charge overnight, sometimes don't if it's still above 70% to give it a deeper discharge. The last three phones I've had I've bought because they had decent batteries. Sorry to take the topic off side-ways
  4. My first thought was Silent Disco too. The talk of Windows/Linux wifi sounds rather like an industrial wrecking-ball to crack a peanut.... :P
  5. Is the date a coincidence? Odd if it isn't....
  6. Awesome! Thanks Paul. I'll give them a try :D
  7. I've got one of those USB Floppy emulator units previously mentioned to replace the original floppy in a Fat Frog. Unfortunately, like a pillock I've lost the software CD that allows you you correctly format a USB stick. I don't suppose anyone has the formatting software they could let me have a copy of? I'd be very grateful! TIA :)
  8. Am I the only one who can't see a lighting grid suspended from the ornate ceiling?
  9. I've just read this comment left below the article linked to: (my bold) I'm just left shaking my head :( Poor clueless idiot!
