CPC logon problems

Hi All,

 

Over the last few days I've had great problems logging onto the CPC web site.

 

When I put in my Username & Password it essentially hangs indefinitely.

 

I can browse their site no problem, just not logon.

 

This is one one W10 PC, others seem fine/normal.

 

I've contacted CPC by phone and online and in both cases they say there is not a problem at their end.

 

My default browser is Chrome and I've cleared browser history, cookies and cache but it hasn't helped.

 

I've also tried using Edge but have the same problems. Has anyone else had problems and can think of a remedy?

It's possible that it's part of https://www.theregister.com/2021/0 this issue. Might be worth checking that you have all your Windows updates.

Or try downloading Opera, Firefox or even Safari for Windows and try them. I often find Opera works when nothing else wants to play.

Just tried it on Edge and got in first time np.

No problem on Brave or Edge; Kaspersky does does flag it as a 'potential security risk' using Firefox, but gets there in the end after clicking through a few 'caution messages'.

Seems OK for me on Chrome Version 94.0.4606.61 (Official Build) (64-bit) (Win10). I've been doing quite a few CPC orders recently and not noticed any problems (other than stock levels!).

I placed an order Friday morning, as soon as I placed it I went to check on my orders as the site seemed a little slow processing the order.

The webpage then went to the 'we have a problem' page and said it was down for maintenance.

 

Seems like it is back to normal now, but CPC and Farnell seem to have always had issues with their web hosting.

So I installed Firefox and the CPC logon worked fine, but still not on Chrome & Edge.
