Playing wav files with movies

I have the macbook air i7 so pretty decent, I want to play the wav audio files and movies projected back stage to accompany them. What tech is out there to do this, minimal equipment the better, I would like a durable projection screen or something, could anyone advise? I'm using LOGIC PRO X for output of both wav and video and my video output is a thunderbolt socket. Edited by gsc1ugs

You'll need a dongle to convert from Thunderbolt to HDMI. (MiniDisplayPort to HDMI will also work, it's the same connector)

What projector and screen you use depends on quite a few factors. What size do you think you'll need, how bright is the room, and what sort of distance do you have available for the projector throw?
