Deadcat or similar for Sennheiser e614

Hello,

 

I am doing some outdoor stuff using the Sennheiser e614 and am looking to get good shielding from wind noise. I was looking at the Rode WS8 windshield, which will fit this 20mm diameter mic, however nowhere has it in stock or available within 7 days. Can anyone advise me on a suitable alternative for this mic? Am looking to get 3.

I think these will be too big at 31mm dia.

Or depending on what's cosmetically acceptable, if it's a short job, it might be easier (and cheaper) to hire full-sized Rycote 'blimps'.

Thanks for the suggestions. Have found a similar product to the WS8 in size that I can ‘nip’ to fit the 614. The WS6 looks to be good but is too expensive at £40. Thanks again.

The windshields these ship with new from Sennheiser are fairly good. Perhaps try a Sennheiser dealer and see if they come as spares.
