A quick recommendation please for some (free) software to play back a simple list of MP3 music files for a one off cabaret style show tonight.Normally use Qlab but on a PC Laptop.

Just need something to play be able to set up a cue list and play individual tracks on the push of a button -no fades / routing etc required.

Many ThanksT

For a one off, how about you just load them into audacity? You'd need to manually select the next track each time, but other than that it should be a good free solution?

I would look at SCS as it is quite similar to QLab in the way it works. There's a free version but if you like it there is a paid version that isn't that expensive and allows bigger shows and more bells and whistles.

Seconded. I've used it for years. The only thing that caught me out is if you use a USB audio device, you need add it to the laptop before you start SCS or it's a tad fiddly to find out where to select the correct output!
