Does anyone have a 4x4 or 8x4 Steeldeck (or similar) I could borrow for a week. Mon 20th to Fri 31st March. In or around North London preferably but can travel. Also after a couple of 4’ or 3’ by 1’ (or similar) decks or blocks for making a step up to a raised seating block. thanks Tom

Hi, We currently hire in an electric scissor lift (generally a Genie 3246) as and when we need one, but I am increasingly finding we have one here on a semi permanent basis. I'm therefore looking at options to buy one instead. Obviously, the benefit of hiring is I don't have to worry about maintenance, LOLER inspections and the like so I’m trying to get an idea of how much of a head ach and that will be and what it will cost. Does anyone own have a similar machine and can share their experiences. How much regular maintenance do they need beyond day to day checks? Better still, can you recommend a (London) maintenance / inspection company? And any recommendations on used sales or leasing? What have I not concidered...?

We have some 743s in our (small) stock which are coming to the end of their life and I’m looking to replace with something second hand. They really don’t get much use but are occasionally very useful. I’ve seen some used Selecon Rama 1200w Frenels for not very much. How will they compare? Or what alternatives would you suggest worth looking out for. Again, really not wanting (or able) to spend more that £80-100 per unit. Thanks hive mind. T

Last minute due to COVID / Train issues. I’m looking for some crew for this Friday. Hi all,I need to get my hands on 11 small-ish projectors.2000 lumen, widish lens, HDMI input.They will be used separately from each other so do not need to match. It's for a student online collaborative project. Anybody got any ideas where to start looking. Not the usual AV suppliers will have that sort of thing but happy to be corrected. London based but think there will be couriering involved anyway so location not a massive issue. (within reason). T

Simplest way of outputting video to two 50” screens (probably smart TVs) from one laptop please for an in-house informal staff training session. I’m assuming a fairly standard laptop, HDMI output, no fancy graphics cards. If the two screens are not the same - possibly different sizes or possibly one a smart TV (that we own) and one a hired/borrowed plasma, does that make a difference? Thanks T

Hi,Speaker amp compatibility question from someone who gets easily confused with these things. Can I use a Denon DN 333XAB line mixer amp to run a pair of Studio Spares Forte BG206 or BG208 speakers. https://www.studiosp...aker_248611.htm https://www.denonpro...view3/dn-333xab The amp has a 4-ohm transformer bypass output but the speakers are 8-ohm. They are being used in a large room (20m x 14m) for background music and are currently working well with a Denon DN-A100 amp however I like the additional functionality the 333XB offers. Thanks T

For our Gala event we (they) want to build two large (14.5m wide by 9m high) scaffold structures complete with platforms for a band and for performers to hang out on. Does anyone have a contact for a production friendly scaffolding company who would work in North London. ThanksT
