timmiddleton
hi I know this question isnt theatre related but im thinking of going busking with a friend and he needs to amp his acoustic guitar. what's the simplist (and cheapest!) way of doing it without having to run a power lead from a shop? there is no power available at the busking spots in nottingham so I need to use batteries really. all ideas gratefully received!tim
Jivemaster
How much power, how loud, and how long, and how fast will you have to run, and how technically competent are you?? Look for a busking combo with battery sealed lead acid or..... check the mic or pickup will give enough level, Guitar Base (abbey Rd WB comes to mind ) sorry no zebra crossing!!! david.elsbury
Carvin Stagematehttp://carvin.com/images/product/S4001.jpgHas instrument inputs, mic inputs, can come with effects, and 6 hour runtime (one battery) with ability to add another battery for more time. Other than that, maybe a pugnose amp (sp?) ?
