Andrew C
Can anyone point me in the right direction for mating connectors for this? I've trawled Molex on the RS site... There are two keyways.
boatman
Can anyone point me in the right direction for mating connectors for this? I've trawled Molex on the RS site... There are two keyways. It looks a bit like a JFPS board connector from JST. No idea where you get them from. Could you change it for a Molex mini-fit junior or similar? Brian
What pitch are they (distance between pins)? I'd also be tempted to swap them for something easier to obtain.
Andrew C
Looks like 1/8" (3.19mm). I've picked up a fair few 2nd hand boards without leads (they are school logic experiments) so changing them all would be tedious. I can buy plug to lantern battery leads, but this is also less than ideal.
ianknight
They'll be an off the shelf connector given that they're UK made by someone like Unilab or Philip Harris - have a look at Farnell, for some of these sorts of connectors they have better coverage than RS. It looks like it may be a Phoenix connector perhaps... You could try eMailing them a picture and see if they recognise it? Phoenix
jamesperrett
I notice one of the pictures shows a University of Salford ID. Have you tried asking someone in the electronics department there? I don't immediately recognise the connector but it shouldn't be anything too strange. Andrew C
I bought the horrid "lantern" battery connector with the other half on the other other end. There's no point in finding what they are - they are terrible. Loose, poor contact, heatshrunk to the cable... I'll replace them with a proper connector. Thanks for the input.
