kennioje
Hi, We're doing our annual maintenance, and this year I'm giving the Patt 243's a bit of extra TLC. I'd noticed that the focus performs differently on different lanterns, and the culprit is that the lead-screw collars are in different places. (The collar, on the shaft that moves the lamp tray forwards and backwards, which stops the lamp tray at the end of it's travel. What distance should this positioned on the screw shaft to give the correct end positions / correct angles? Many thanks,Joe

Nig
Think I know these parricular lanterns well! The link has various documents lower on the page including an exploded diagram - haven't looked at it in detail but hopefully on a larger screen it may give some clueshttp://www.theatrecrafts.com/pages/home/archive/equipment/detail/?id=1243http://www.theatrecrafts.com/archive/documents/patt243_exploded.pdfNige
kennioje
Hi Nigel, Yes, I'd found all the stuff on the Strand Archive, but non of it helped with calibrating the lantern. All marketing stuff really, except the exploded diagram, which didn't show where they should be set. Dave m
I have two of unknown provenance and one is bodged. But the other has a collar fixed. I can measure that for you?

Hi, Thanks for the offer. We've got 10 of them, so hopefully there will be some consensus within them, and there's just one or two different. I was wondering how they were set in the factory.
