Srobo512 Posted July 9, 2016 Share Posted July 9, 2016 Hi, Whilst focusing for a show today a fixture blew a lamp, or so we thought taking the channel MCB with it. changed the lamp, same problem. Dropped the fixture and proceeded to do continuity between all 3 cores with lamp removed, nothing. out comes the single channel manual dimmer with built in MCB. fades fines to 40% then trips MCB. pulled the flex out the unit and where it has been clamped in the cable restraint it has melted a short between L+N. First show is this week coming so as an emergency, We've replaced the old plastic choc bloc with a ceramic and added more heating resistant covering to exposed flex cores. BUT im finding it hard to locate 3 core 1.5mm heat resistant flex to 180 degrees. preferably sold by the meter or 25M roll. Can anyone help?
