cdm
I have been tasked with hiring a stage for a Christmas production to go in a large hall hall. Needs to be 13m x 7m (with a further 2m x 5m section on the front), and 900mm high. Any suggestions of good hire suppliers in the Portsmouth/Hampshire area please? alistermorton
If it helps to visualize it:A 5x5 rectangle of 8x4 decks will give you 40*20 which is 12.2*6.1 metres if you can go a little under. For the apron, 4 decks side by side gives you 16x8 or 4.8782.44 metres. So if you go the route of hiring in deck, that would mean you were looking for a package of 29 decks when you start ringing round. Plus legs and braces and bolts, of course. cdm
Thanks so much for the responses - given me a good starting point. Stage size can be altered a bit - does look like 8x4ft decks are most common, so may try and work it round those.
Dave m
look up steeledk/litedeck sizes and design the stage based on the available sizes. we have ( not for hire) 8x4 and 6x4's plus some smaller sections but knowing what is a standard size is beneficial to your design.when costing, get a price to include the legs as some may include, some may not.
