robbie71 Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Hi , I am a singer guitarist doing pub/hotel small gigs , I am currently using 2x jbl mrx 500 tops with a qsc 3600 amp running from a macbookpro using mainstage and an apogee duet ,I dont use track just guitar and vocals and the sound I get is very good , my question to the pros here is would I get a better sound if I changed to jbl prx 735 tops , I have no way ofgetting access to a pair to try the before buying ,thanks for any advice, Robin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GR1 Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 Hello Robin, If you are getting very good sound with your existing kit why would you even consider changing it? Wait until a change of circumstances like playing bigger venues dictates that you need to. You can take a D&B Line Array and Midas mixing desk with an engineer into your small gigs if you like and it may sound a bit better but if you clients are happy with what you are already doing keep it the same and make a profit.
