kerry davies
...around the stage... Vans aren't exactly known for having tight turning circles. How big is your stage?..and how heavy is the van?
alistermorton
I'll have to find somewhere to put my video of our van going round on our revolve. Magic roundabout springs to mind :-)
gunner
If I had too, I could just about do a 3 point turn with a swb transit, but that's only because I have a large thrust on my stage. I would prefer just to have an empty body and chassis myself, but if we can get a compromise for the director that would be the best result. alistermorton
We used a rascal sized van I think (although it might have been a disguised Suzuki rather than a Bedford). Edit: I've just checked the video and it was indeed a small Suzuki van we used.
Amy Worrall
I drove a van into the exhibition hall that contained the temporary theatre for this year's Gilbert & Sullivan Festival. We brought it in for unloading, and asked if we could leave it parked behind the stage overnight. The rule was that we could if it had less than a quarter of a tank of diesel. (Sadly it didn't, so I had to take it away.)
