IA76
Hi Is it possible to record the video from a camera like this? http://www.y3k.com/p...-or-outdoor-use We want to connect the video from this camera and the audio from our PA system to some kind of recorder. We will then edit the video and make it in to a DVD.
Dave m
does it have to be that camera? there are loads of ip controllable cameras that will give a decent image. What to you intend to do with the footage?
IA76
The cam is just an example but it does need to be HD and PTZ. The recording will be edited in Adobe made in to a DVD and eventually uploaded to YouTube as well.

jason5d
If you want to get footage from a pan/tilt cam to dvd and youtube go for an axis camera. www.axis.com
JimWebber
I'll be following this one... This could get interesting, and my new job could well involve pushing CCTV images about over IP type mediums. My first thought is that I would imagine an IP Camera to have considerable (and potentially variable) latency. While this doesn't particularly matter for CCTV or surveillance, but I would imagine it would be a right pain in the posterior when it comes to mixing with (near) instantaneous sound. dbuckley
Confirm: the IP PTZ CCTV camera outside our office has latency of over a second.
timsabre
I think you can feed external audio into the camera which will then transmit it with the IP data (synchronised, hopefully) to a software recorder. Alternatively you need to look at a non-IP solution such as the panasonic AW-HE50. These are REALLY expensive though.
