DonkiDonki
Does anyone know how to patch fixtures from the next available address in a given universe, other than manually looking to see what it is?
dmxlights
Yep there is select your fixture and then type how many and @ then press enter ie to patch 12 dimmer channels then type 12@ and press enter Job done
smalljoshua
I believe that just patches to the next free address overall. No good if you just want it on a specific universe. Have you tried the syntax 1@2- and leaving the address bit blank? Josh
CraigG
As above, 1@ [Enter] patches to the next available address, and 1@2- [Enter] patches to the next in universe 2, and so on.
DonkiDonki
Thanks guys, I thought I had tried patch @2- but I I must have used a different character (probably *). A simple thing but makes patching a bit quicker and less fiddly.Cheers.
empyfree
If you want to make sure your patching in the correct universe you can limit your view to a single universe using one of the left hand encoders. Then the shorthand patch syntax assumes you mean to patch in that universe.
