Just realised I never posted the guts. I never said they would be pretty! ;)

Nothing wrong with the quality, do you think you need the ground link?

Edit: realised it's 3 channel with com. unsure.gif

1) you know this is 5 years ago right? :-)

2) yes it's 3ch with common ground

No I hadn't realised I was reading an old post.

Initially I hadn't realised there is a wire colour chage from brown pair to black and assumed the black was simply a link between all Com pins without it leaving the enclosure on the Ethercon.

I have made several versions of this over the years but usually in a hurry so never in an enclosure, only an RJ45 plug (or somethinglike this: https://www.electricaldirect.co.uk/product/ultima-rj45-splitter-economiser-datadata-cat5e-black-572064?vat=1&shopping=true&gclid=CjwKCAjwyqTqBRAyEiwA8K_4O6I-jj41tG8IhVti6F8TDPHdtZ1Dp7J_Arzc0c_C2fxqAywFWgxEiRoCv1IQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds to use as a cable socket), lengths of FST and cable type XLR's or stereo jacks
