BlueCom - Status Update

With holidays now a dim distant memory it's time to polish off a few projects.

 

The testing of BlueCom (the project formerly known as BlueClone) is now well under way...

...and testing in a system with a selection of other makes of pack and real world lengths of cable...

So far we know the current PCB design needs some changes, mostly of a mechanical nature.

There has been a lot of progress with testing and we are now on the home stretch.

 

Just to keep you updated, the front and back panels will be etched from FR4 as PCBs. Here's what they should look like:

How's the testing going ?

 

The lash-up test setup as shown above worked well. It comprised a mix of BlueCom, Tecpro, Metro and Stonewood units which all played nicely together.

 

John is completing the changes to the main PCB and the front and back panels. Once those are complete it'll be all system go.
