madmonkeyholly
Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy a dappled or forest effect gobo for a performance. However I can't seem to find any that I like and which aren't expensive, can anyone suggest anywhere I can buy them from online. Thank You
J Pearce
LXstore.co.uk (Whitelight's e-shop) sell the full range of DHA and goboland gobos at a pretty reasonable rate.
paulears
Worth remembering that forrest breakups usually work best in multiples, because shadows spoil the effect, so 2 or 4 or 8 work so much better.
jonathanhill
The classic leafy break ups, DHA119 or DHA805, would be a good start. As Paul has mentioned, one is not enough. The more you can use, the better the effect will be. A little haze can really accentuate the effect. Gobos cost what gobos cost, unfortunately. alistermorton
Gobos cost what gobos cost, unfortunately. At a tenner a pop from lxstore that's not much, though.
J Pearce
£8 for some of the goboland stock.
Roderick
Get some off-set printing plates, a sharp knife and make your own is what I used to do for no budget productions. Also have a look here: Amdram gobo
Nicktaylor
£8 for some of the goboland stock. plus VAT equals almost £10 plus postage I split hairs. What do people think is cheap?
the kid
That... £10 is the norm is it not ?
J Pearce
For a pretty accurately cut piece of steel that makes my light interesting and textured I think £10 is pretty reasonable. Build up a stock and gradually you'll need to buy less as you have more in the tin (people still store gobos in tins right?).
